Corrupticut will find a way to lose money with them.

Only if the funds have no ability to be used for anything but road maintenance. And, I want all politicians to feel the pain--no government issued EZ passes and no reimbursement on their expense reports. I pay--you pay.

When CT gets its fiscal house in order then a look at tolls to REPLACE other taxes might be viable. Right now it would just be a way to keep hiding spending and union issues. CT has a spending problem, NOT an insufficient taxes problem.

For out of state only.

Of course! We pay every other state from Maine to Virginia to use their roads. Why shouldn't they pay us when they drive through here?

Connecticut is already taxed to death. Cut spending to get money for your roads.

Let's have those thousands of out of state cars that pass through pay for the wear and tear on our roads and bridges, as we do when we drive in their states.

only if they put the funds in a lock box. I am tired of the state continuing to increase taxes for one purpose and raiding the funds because they overspent. use the money only for what it is intended for. The state lottery was to fund education and we can see how well that has worked. How can we be in the red when we get millions every month from the casinos?

Instead of raising cost to run the toll system just add a penny or two to the current gas tax rate.

Absolutely you should, place them right at the incoming borders, this will enable our overspending politicians to tax out of state tourist. This will further our friendless to tourism, in the same manner as closing the rest areas has.
