Just shell game tactics, but why increase a regressive tax and lower a progressive tax. Connecticut needs to stop excessive spending and take of care of their pension problems.

Yes, lowering the income tax would make CT more competitive. At least sales tax is something that we have some control over -- whether to buy something or not.

It is not a single issue or tax holding CT down. It is the total cost of our state govenrment that is driving the number up and up for the state resident (especially those that own property). They are the people shouldering the high cost and poor decision making that has existed for years.

But still need to cut spending. Get out of collective bargaining, reduce the number and cost of state employees.
