Kaman’s 2Q sales, net rise

Bloomfield aeroparts and industrial-equipment maker-supplier Kaman Corp. posted higher first quarter sales and profits.

For three months ended June 30, Kaman said it netted $15.1 million, or 53 cents a diluted share, up from $13.5 million, or 48 cents a share, netted the same quarter last year.

Second-quarter sales were $468.1 million vs. $449 million a year ago.

Based on its strong first-half performance, CEO Neal J. Keating said Kaman has raised its full-year outlook aerospace sales range to $755 million to $775 million, and hiking its distribution sales range to $1.135 billion to $1.17 billion.
