Wethersfield healthcare consultant Qualidigm has relocated headquarters to a previously foreclosed office building in town it recently purchased for $2.1 million and renovated to support its rapidly growing operations and staff.
Qualidigm bought the 44,000-square-foot, Class B building at 936 Silas Deane Highway last October, and immediately began renovations to create an "open-space'' concept that allows more staff collaboration and innovation, CEO Tim Elwell said.
The seller was PBE Companies LLC, the foreclosure-liquidation arm of Spanish bank giant Santander SA, which operates an extensive Connecticut branch network. It was the building's third sale since 1998, said buyer's broker Colliers International.
CBRE-New England represented Providence-based PBE Companies.
Wethersfield's CT Peer Review Organization (CPRO) will occupy a portion of the building, Colliers said.
In addition to buying the corporate headquarters, Qualidigm said it leased long-term "community space" at 912 Silas Deane Highway, across the street from the main office.
The 3,300-square-foot space houses the company's board room and serves as a large meeting space for Qualidigm-hosted programs. Accommodating more than 120 people, the space also is available to other organizations from the local healthcare community to host larger meetings and programs, Elwell said.
