Starting today, Panera Bread is offering home and office food delivery in the Hartford metro area, and in Groton, adding more than 120 delivery jobs, said the franchisee, the Howley Bread Group.
Affected cafes include those at State House Square in Hartford, The Shoppes at Buckland Hills in Manchester, and stores in Wethersfield, Glastonbury, Enfield, Farmington, Newington and Groton.
Customers can order online or through an app with a $5 minimum order and $3.50 delivery fee.
The ordering system also integrates with the "MyPanera" loyalty program, allowing guests to redeem their rewards.
Another option called "rapid pick-up" enables guests to place an online or mobile order from their office, car, work or home up to two weeks in advance and pick up their food at a predetermined time without waiting in line, the company said.
