Manufacturers recognized for meeting jobs challenge

Gov. Dannel Malloy recently joined the state's public community colleges and several manufacturers including Pratt & Whitney and Electric Boat to announce that the state has surpassed its "300 Days, 300 Jobs" advanced manufacturing challenge. The goal of the campaign was to enroll, graduate and get a job for a minimum of 300 students from the Aug. 2016 enrollment to May 2017 graduation period of participating community colleges.
