Foxwoods Resorts Casino's slot revenues rose 2.7 percent in June, tribal operators reported Saturday.

During the month, the casino's slot revenues increased to $36.3 million, compared to $35.3 million in the year-ago period, the Mashantucket Pequot tribe said.

The amount slot bettors wagered in June, known as the "handle," was $482.7 million, up 9.2 percent from the $442 million wagered in the same month in 2016.

Foxwoods contribution for June to the state's Special Revenue Fund was $9.9 million, which puts the property's cumulative contribution to the state since 1993 at more than $4 billion, operators reported.
