Bond Commission OKs $51M for health information exchange, other technology projects

The state Bond Commission today approved $51 million in requests to finance costs associated with developing and implementing information technology enhancements for 13 state agencies.

Among the agencies receiving funding is the Department of Social Services, which will invest in a Medicaid management information system and health information exchange.


Other projects and departments that will receive funding include the Department of Public Health for an immunization information system and vital records module integration project; Department of Children and Families for a case management system; and Office of Early Childhood for an early childhood information system and a quality rating and improvement system.
