Wallingford real estate company buys Cheshire boutique firm

Wallingford real estate firm Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties said Wednesday it has acquired Sally Bowman Real Estate, a boutique real estate firm in Cheshire, for an undisclosed sum.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The acquisition gives New England Properties a total of 55 offices and more than 1,800 agents operating in Connecticut, Rhode Island, Manhattan and Westchester County, N.Y.

Sally Bowman, the firm's owner, said she chose Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties for its brand reputation, leadership and financial strength.
