The Greater Hartford region's house and condominium sales rose in November, but prices fell, Realtors say.

Single-family house sales in Hartford and its suburbs last month jumped 8.2 percent to 966 units vs. 893 sold in Nov. 2016, the Greater Hartford Association of Realtors (GHAR) said.

However, the median price for those dwellings fell 1.8 percent to $215,000 from $219,000 a year earlier.

For condos, their Nov. sales rose 2.5 percent to 206 units vs. 201 a year ago, GHAR said. Their median price also fell by 3.1 percent to $137,250 vs. $142,000.

The area's Nov. housing-sales report coincides with an earlier statewide tally by the Connecticut Association of Realtors that showed house sales and prices flattened in November, while condominium-townhouse sales and prices rose.
