Connecticut communities issued more housing permits in November than a year earlier, but its count was well below the previous month's tally, fresh data shows.

The 104 municipalities tracked by the U.S. Census Bureau issued 324 permits for new single- and multi-family dwellings in November vs. 209 issued the same month in 2016, the state Department of Economic and Community Development said.

Those same communities granted 507 housing permits in October.

Through the first 11 months, 3,522 permits have been issued vs 3,905 issued the same period in 2016, DECD said.
