Jason Day has committed to the 2018 Travelers Championship from June 18-24.

Jason Day, the PGA's seventh-ranked golfer, is returning to the Travelers Championship next month at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, organizers said.

Day joins an already deep player field that includes last year's winner Jordan Spieth, two-time champion Bubba Watson, Patrick Reed, Rory McIlroy, Zach Johnson and Jim Furyk, among others.

The event is June 18-24.

"Adding Jason to our field is fantastic news for the tournament and our fans," Travelers Championship Tournament Director Nathan Grube said. "Jason is one of the world's best players, so having him return to TPC River Highlands reflects our mission of bringing the world's greatest golfers to Connecticut every year."

The Australian native was formerly the No.1 ranked golfer in the world and currently ranks second in the FedEx Cup standings. Day has two PGA wins this season and 12 during his career, 10 of those since 2015.
