Downtown Hartford's newest retail establishment, Bar Piña, has added artisan-style donuts from renowned area pastry chef Kristin Eddy to its menu.

Four to five specialty donut varieties -- including coconut-almond and lemon poppy seed -- are available from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. for hotel-bar guests or to-go at Bar Piña, 1 Haynes St., on the ground floor of The Goodwin Hotel.

A "baker's dozen" of donuts, or 13, costs $27. The donut bar also features coffees from Canton wholesale coffee-roaster Giv.

Bar Piña is located alongside chef Tyler Anderson's Porron Restaurant, also housed in The Goodwin. Both opened in early May. Bar Piña is open from 4 p.m. until late.

Anderson, a former contestant on the Bravo Channel's "Top Chef'' series, also runs The Cook & The Bear in West Hartford's Blue Back Square, and Millwright's Restaurant and Tavern in Simsbury. Millwright's is known for "Donut Fridays."

Eddy is pastry chef for all three Anderson eateries.
