The Russian Lady in Hartford was the city's fifth-most requested destination in 2018, according to Uber.

Trips to retail stores, restaurants and local colleges dominated Hartford's list of top 10 Uber destinations in 2018, according to the online transportation network.

Walmart was the most common destination requested by Hartford riders this year, Uber said in an annual report released Wednesday, followed by the University of Hartford, Farmington's Westfarms mall and Bartaco restaurant in West Hartford.

At No. 5, the Shoppes at Buckland Hills in Manchester was the list's furthest destination from Hartford. Trailing were five Hartford locations: The Russian Lady bar, Hartford Hospital, Trinity College, Aetna and McLadden's in West Hartford, the San Francisco-based company said.

Other popular trip requests from Hartford county include downtown Hartford's XL Center, Bradley International Airport, and UConn and Eastern Connecticut State University, according to Uber's website.

Founded in 2009, Uber says it has completed more than 10 billion trips in 65 countries and in more than 600 cities. The ridesharing company, which had 16,000 employees as of 2017, also has over 75 million riders and 3 million drivers.
